Just when you thought he was done with legal issues, Adam "Pacman" Jones is back and in trouble yet again.
The troubled cornerback, currently playing for the Cincinnati Bengals (once lockout is lifted), was arrested early Sunday morning after a scuffle at a Cincinnati Bar called The Scene. Cincinnati Police say Jones was unruly and aggressive and had to be restrained, he's currently being held (as of 8am) in jail and charged with Disorderly conduct.
Since the incident happened around 3 a.m. and the Bengals are unable to comment on the problems of one of their players, the only comment is going to come from Jones himself. We are somewhat skeptical he'll be talkative to local reporters upon his release.
It will be interesting to see, once things are settled, how both the Bengals and the league, particularly Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has had to discipline Jones before reacts to this latest news.

Adam "Pacman" Jones has been sentenced to probation and 200 hours of community service under a plea deal for what happened in the Las Vegas scrip club back in 2007.
Clark County ((NV)) courts spokeswoman Mary Ann Price said Jones received a suspended sentence and was also ordered to receive anger management counseling. The sentence requires Jones to undergo random drug testing.
Jones told the Las Vegas Sun after the sentencing that he's glad to finally have the case behind him. Dave Toplikar's report is hyah...

Prosecutors maintained the shooting left a club employee paralyzed and two others wounded. Jones pleaded Nolo Contendere in 2007 to a gross misdemeanor of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct. His deal reduced two felony coercion charges. Jones has denied having a role in the shooting.

This is as strange as it sounds. Apparently, shortly after the Cincinnati Bengals threw away a game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reserve cornerback and former problem child Adam "Pacman" Jones had...well, a bit of a brush with the local law.
It seems as though while Jones was trying to leave Paul Brown stadium, he had to swerve in traffic to avoid hitting someone on the street. He ended up on the curb. A Cincinnati police officer was nearby and after seeing the incident, ran a check on Jones's license. The check revealed a warrant in Georgia for an "Adam Jones". But it turned out not to be the one that they had in custody.
After 45 minutes of being detained...and held while in handcuffs, Jones was released.
Yesterday, "Pacman" got a full press conference/apology. While accepting at face value the apology from PD and the Police Chief, it stirred up a few other issues.
There have been questions over the years about Cincinnati Police targeting Bengals players. We don't think that it was the case here. But, it makes you wonder.
We suspect that had it been anyone else, you wouldn't be hearing about this and quite honestly that is probably true. It's just interesting because of who it involved and that person's past history makes you at least raise an eyebrow.
Every indication here is that police did their due diligence and there was a communication error. Also, Jones has been as honest and hard working a player that the Bengals have had thus far. We salute him for making the effort at turning his career around, something he has hinted at in the past, but up until recently, had never tried to do.

Sometimes it isn't so great to have a common name. Just ask Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones.
Apparently sometime last night, Jones, who was in transit with his team to Toronto to face the Blue Jays, was detained at the airport in Canada.
The reason, his name showed up on a database as someone with a conviction to his name, something that Canadian authorities are now detaining people entering there country for. We aren't saying, nor is he, that he was mistaken for the ever popular Adam "Pacman" Jones, but just do the math.
Overall, this will be just a "blip" on the radar screen, but it is somewhat interesting. We don't quite get how Canada can not allow people who've done something that they feel is a major offense, which might not be considered as such in their own country, but it is their country we suppose.

It would make some sense if they actually needed someone to play the position that he does. They don't. They already have some pretty good cornerbacks on the team. They drafted another in the 3rd round this year.
We can only surmise that Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis envision the Bengals as the "Land of Misfit Toys". Either that or they are trying to re-claim the "Team Turmoil" label from the Steelers. Or maybe they just want to see how many hardship cases you can put in one stadium before it explodes. Who knows?

According to Mr. Reedy the "Pac-Man" contract would essentially be for the minimum, which is great. But what does he have to offer? I believe what is being said that he is working out like a madman and desperate for another chance to show he is a changed man. Really, I do. I just don't believe that he is that sincere. I don't think he realizes that the problem...from the get go hasn't been anything else, hasn't been his talent...no, the problem has been him.

There have been a few interesting reports popping up in the Cincinnati area about some "Curious" NFL players getting tryouts. The latest is that that the Cincinnati Bengals are testing the waters with one Adam "Pacman" Jones.
Pacman isn't the only Jones the Bengals are interested in, there are also reports that they are in the bidding along with the Tennessee Titans for former Jaguars Wide Receiver Matt Jones, who was suspended last season for a Drug arrest.

The Pacman interest is a bit odd, only because the Bengals are very strong in the secondary, particularly at Cornerback with Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall. The Matt Jones interest makes more sense. The Bengals really struggled for most of the season throwing the ball. Right now the only receiving threat on the team is Chad Ochocinco. They signed Lavernious Coles in the 2008-09 offseason and he really didn't do much. Reedy also mentions that the Bengals may kick the tires of the previously suspended and now available Donte Stallworth too.
It is also worth noting that Ochocinco has been all over Twitter saying he wants the Bengals to go after one Terrell Owens. Though on one level it might be pretty funny,we suspect that might be asking just a bit too much out of the new version of the Oakland Raiders to take that headache on.

In a surprising about face, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that Adam 'Pacman' Jones will not be joining the team.
"It is unfortunate that this situation became public however our position has remained consistent. We will pursue athletes that we believe will contribute to our organization on and off the field" said Blue Bombers' Head Coach Mike Kelly in a statement.
“We have completed our assessment and due diligence and at this time we will not be pursuing the services of Adam Jones".
It had been widely reported that Jones had signed a one-year deal to play with the Bombers. Jones himself discussed the signing on the Web TV channel U-Stream earlier in the day.
A former first round pick of the Tennessee Titans, the 26-year old Jones was twice suspended by the NFL for several off-field incidents including his role in a shooting in a Las Vegas strip club. Jones was released by the Dallas Cowboys this past February.
Now the Winnipeg media really doesn't need to ask questions of Kelly about Pac Man... Do they...???
And the local press went ahead and asked Blue Bombers Head Coach Mike Kelly about it anyway... forget the salvo that was started by Director of Football Operations Ross Hodgkinson...

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in talks with cornerback Adam (Pacman) Jones ((pictured, thanks KLAS-TV/Las Vegas)).
Stories in several U.S. publications are reporting this morning that a deal has been signed but club management told the Free Press early Tuesday morning that is pre-mature. A contract has not been signed nor has one been sent to the former Dallas Cowboys speedster.
Blue Bombers personnel man John Murphy, however, is quoted in a number of places discussing the impact Jones would have on the Bombers and the team's marketing department.
An early report had Jones arriving in Winnipeg on Wednesday but the team has yet to investigate his status with Canada Border Services
Jones has never been questioned as a player but as been suspended several times by the NFL for his off-field activity. Most notably, Jones was involved in a strip club shooting that left a man paralyzed.
"It'll be a good experience for me to get back in game shape and compete and play football, which I like to do," Jones told SI.com. "I'm real happy for the opportunity that's been given to me. Of course it's disappointing to me to not be playing in the NFL. But things happen and you have to adjust. "
Blue Bombers personnel man John Murphy told SI.com that Jones will be a difference maker in the CFL.
"But for me it's a win-win. I'm smart enough to know that if I'm looking for somebody who can be a playmaker for the second half of our season, there isn't a better football player who's not in the NFL, at 25 years old, who's ready to play football, is going to play with a chip on his shoulder, and is going to bring some fun and excitement to our team, our locker room, our city, and our league.
"And at the same time it's a business decision as well as football decision. From a marketing standpoint, a business standpoint and a football standpoint, I could go to 100 NFL training camps and every preseason game and more people will hear and know about the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the next two weeks -- from the coverage we'll receive -- than in the last 10 years."
Never-before-released court documents and amateur video help provide the clearest picture yet of what happened inside a Las Vegas strip club on Feb. 19, 2007, when Adam "Pacman" Jones ((pictured, thanks KLAS-TV file)) showered scantily clad dancers with money. Just minutes after "making it rain," Jones was involved in a fight inside the club. A short time later, three people were shot outside the club.
Jones initially was charged with felony coercion for his role in the melee. The charge later was reduced, but the incident ultimately helped push his NFL career to the brink.
The video and documents, including witness statements, search warrants and internal police memos, were obtained by "Outside the Lines" and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The documents include differing statements Jones provided to Las Vegas police -- one made the day of the shooting and one from seven months later.
The amateur video, held as evidence in the shooting case, could be played when Arvin Edwards stands trial in February. Edwards is charged with three counts of attempted murder in connection with the shooting.
Jones was in Las Vegas for NBA All-Star Weekend. After losing $50,000 or $60,000 gambling at Caesars Palace, according to statements, Jones went on a hot streak, winning $120,000 at the Palms hotel and casino.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Feb. 19, Jones and an entourage of about seven people -- a group that included his stylist; his business manager, Chris Horvath; and Robert Reid, Jones' massive bodyguard for the evening -- arrived at the Minxx Gentlemen's Club & Lounge. Celebrity sightings at the club increased as the evening progressed. Rapper Nelly and rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri, both Grammy-winning artists, arrived at the club not long after Jones. Professional boxer Zab Judah and Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson were also in the crowd.
Jones told police he arrived at the club with "close to $100,000." He took $40,000 out of his Louis Vuitton bag and exchanged it for several stacks of $1 bills, which he put in a black trash bag, according to his statement. So much money was thrown onto the main stage that dancers, after their sets, started filling buckets with the loose bills covering the stage.
At one point, Jones told police, Dupri called him to the stage. Jones climbed the short steps while cradling "probably about $12,000 to $14,000," according to one of his statements.
Jones, with his bodyguard present in the background, can be seen on the video repeatedly throwing money to a dancer off stage at his feet and then over his shoulder to several dancers on stage. When several dancers bent over to collect the cash, Dupri took over the DJ's microphone and said: "We gonna show y'all how to make it rain."
"Don't start getting the money until I tell y'all to get off the stage," Dupri said. "… Just keep f---ing dancing! Don't bend down and try to get your money."
Moments after Dupri made those comments, the video recording ended. It was after 4:30a.m. when trouble inside Minxx began.
According to court documents, Jones became angry when a dancer and a club promoter continued sweeping up the money he had thrown on the stage.
Two Minxx bouncers interviewed by "Outside the Lines" said Jones approached the dancer who was collecting the money, grabbed her by the hair and hit her in the face with a closed fist. Jones has denied attacking the entertainer. No charges have been filed.
According to witness statements in court documents, when Minxx bouncer Aaron Cudworth grabbed Jones in an effort to forcibly remove him from the club, Jones said, "I'm gonna kill ya. Matter of fact, all youse are gonna get it." During the struggle, according to witnesses, Jones bit Cudworth near his left ankle.
In his second statement to police, when asked by a detective whether he had made any threats, Jones said: "No sir. Not one threat." Jones told police that while he was "making it rain," several dancers started fighting over the money.
While trying to break up a fight between two of the dancers, Jones said, he noticed a club promoter snatch the black trash bag, which contained the remainder of the $40,000 Jones had received in $1 bills upon entering the club. Jones told police that when he and Reid, his bodyguard, confronted the man who took the bag of cash, they were both attacked by Minxx security.
According to Jones, the bouncers put Reid in a choke hold, pulled out expandable batons like the kind carried by riot police, and hurled racial epithets at Jones and Reid.
"I'll crack your f---ing knees, n-----," threatened one bouncer, according to a statement Jones provided.
Jones and his entourage were thrown out of the club. Moments later, prosecutors say, a lone gunman -- a man they say was Edwards -- stepped from behind a palm tree at the front of the club and opened fire.
Three people were shot. Cudworth, the bouncer who fought with Jones, was shot in the chest and left forearm. Shift manager Tom Urbanski was shot in the chest. A bullet remains lodged in Urbanski's spine, and he is paralyzed from the waist down. A patron, Natalie Jones, was grazed by a bullet on the left side of her head. The three shooting victims have filed separate civil lawsuits against Jones.

Adam Jones ((pictured, thanks newsday.com)), apparently, is being chased after by one of his cadre of attorneys for moneys not sent for services rendered- or something official sounding like that...
"Manny Arora claims Jones stiffed him for fees “in excess of $10,000” on 18 different cases in which Arora represented either Jones’ family members or friends.
None of the cases mentioned in the lawsuit filed in Fulton State Court involve Jones directly.
The suit lists Deborah Jones, James Jones, Lewis Kueffor and Fleming Daniels as the defendants Arora assisted. The charges against them vary from speeding to kidnapping, simple battery and, in the case of Daniels, murder."
Neither side has come public on this case, yet. But a word to Adam- Manny is not a guy to be screwed with. He holds a nuclear engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He's a Major in the Air Force reserves. And he can, probably, kick your ass in an alley if provoked. He added the "sports agent" title to his dossier recently for Jones.
Here's what he told "Business to Business" Magazine at the time: "He's an athlete who has a good side that nobody sees," Arora says. "When you spend enough time with these athletes, you see their human side. Pacman doesn't have all those [bad influences] around him anymore. He just has me – one voice. And that will make all the difference."
Those of us here at OSG HQ think that the "Arora" in Arora and LaScala has seen enough of Adam Jones to last him a lifetime. Jones, obviously, didn't listen to Arora's 5-Minute Rule.

In an interview on CBS’ NFL pregame show "The NFL Today," the currently-unemployed cornerback said that not only does he expect to play football next season, “I think I might be back in Dallas.”
Host James Brown then asked: “And you have an inkling that Jerry Jones will give you another shot?”
Jones grinned and said, “Yeah, I do,” but didn’t offer any details to back his assertion.

Todd Archer and Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News tell us a story that is no surprise- once waiver claims can be made in early February, Adam "Pac-Man" Jones' ((pictured, thanks dallasnews.com)) career as a Cowboy is over.
"Because of the in-season suspension, the Cowboys will receive the Titans' fifth-round pick, and they will also gain $1 million in salary cap space for 2009. Had Jones made it through the season without getting in trouble, the Cowboys would have had to send a sixth-round pick to the Titans this year to complete the trade.
The Cowboys signed Jones to a four-year, $13.3 million deal after the trade, however, it did not include any guaranteed money."
The team announced the move in a statement. The transaction will be made official on February 9th, the first day that NFL clubs are allowed to make waiver requests.
Jones, 25, played in nine games with the Cowboys, including six starts, registering 31 total tackles and no interceptions. He was reinstated from a 17-month suspension by the NFL to begin the season with the Cowboys, who acquired him from the Tennessee Titans during the offseason. Jones was suspended again by the NFL during the season, missing six games for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
So much to talk about with the Dallas Cowboys just where do you start. Let's start with Adam "Pacman" Jones who has entered rehab today.
Cowboy owner Jerry Jones confirmed that he is being treated for alcohol addiction in another part of the country but didn't say where. Let's hope there a no strip bars within walking distance of Pacman's rehab.

This comes after the Dallas Cowboys went to hell Sunday losing to the St. Louis Rams 34-14. The Rams crushed the Cowboys, unbelievable. The Rams were the keystone cops last month, now the Cowboys are on the brink.
Your first thought is Wade Phillips is out the door. His majesty says no. I wonder if Jerry Jones will sit in on the offensive and defensive meetings this week.

The Shield and the Jolly Roger were not jolly in the least after the latest round of shenanigans by Dallas Cowboys defensive back Adam 'Pac Man' Jones ((pictured trying to get in the way of Arizona's Tim Hightower, thanks Getty Images)). So today, the Commissioner pulled the plug on his game for at least four games...technically, it's an indefinite suspension without pay subject to review after the November 16 game against the Washington Redskins.
Roger Goodell called the tete-a-tete with his team-appointed bodyguard a "a disturbing pattern of behavior and clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."
The suspension will cost Jones a little over $41-grand a game.
"According to the league's release, "The decision on whether Jones can return to play will be based on Jones' strict compliance with his NFL and Dallas Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Commissioner Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL."

KTVT, CBS 11 in Dallas is reporting that Adam "Pacman" Jones was involved in what they are calling a violent scuffle in a upscale Dallas hotel.
KTVT sources say police were called after Jones got into a argument with one of his bodyguards hired by the Dallas Cowbooys to keep him out of trouble.
Those sources also say that Jones appeared agitated and took off his shirt outside the hotel. Those same sources say he was threatening to go after his security guard.
By the time the police arrived, witnesses say punches were thrown and the police and a hotel guard had to separate Jones and his body guard inside a bathroom. During the alleged altercation, a mirror was broken.
Police investigated but no arrests were made.
Jones left the hotel without paying his tab.
Rich Dalrymple, Dallas Cowboys spokesman said in a statement in part "The organization has no information regarding the incident involving Adam Jones, therefore they had no comment."
