Herschel Walker wins again....

We still aren't sure which Herschel Walker is fighting in this MMA Bout versus Scott Carson on Saturday night, we just know we wouldn't mess with him. Take a look at the video....Mr. Walker, he's a "Baaaad Man".

Though we are fairly sure he wasn't serious about returning to the NFL, we don't think we'd doubt the man if he tried.

Not sure which personality is speaking here but Herschel Walker, who will turn 49 March 3rd, thinks he can contribute to an NFL team.

"Right now, if you asked me if I can play today, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind I can play football, that I can help a team out," Walker said in a teleconference promoting his upcoming bout with 27-year-old Scott Carson in a Strikeforce event in San Jose, California. "I can 100 percent guarantee you I can help a football team out . . ."

"I think I'm a better conditioned athlete right now than I was when I was playing. I'm 48 now, and I'm in better shape now than I was in my early 20s playing football."

That maybe so however your pushing 50 years old. What's Herschel's 40 time now? 5.2? A 50 year old body recovers from the pounding a whole lot different than when your in your early 20'

Or just maybe Herschel Walker has found the fountain of youth.

Or maybe someone told Walker the USFL is making a comeback.

Rex Ryan is sorry for saying Miami is #1

This is just kind of funny enough to post...so we will. Surely by now, many know about New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan flipping off Miami Dolphins fans at a MMA event in South Florida over the weekend.

Well, Rex, being Rex apologized...at least a prepared statement released by the Jets...said that he apologized.

Ryan, who at the time was being interviewed by Showtime, who was broadcasting the event, was loudly booed, when his image appeared on the jumbotron scoreboard. He didn't show Miami fans they were #1 on the broadcast...however, someone took a cellphone picture of it, and yes, it is making the rounds. (Oh...we have it too). Ryan actually could be subject to a fine according to NFL conduct rules, though it would be a bit of a stretch.

Yes, this was the same MMA event where Herschel Walker kicked the tail of someone half his age.

Oh You, Herschel Walker...

Herschel Walker stopped Hungarian fighter Greg Nagy in the third round Saturday night to win his mixed-martial arts debut. Walker drove Nagy into the fence early in the third. After a bunch of unanswered punches, referee Troy Waugh called the fight.

"The experience was exciting," Walker said. "This is the hardest thing I've ever done."

Walker wore down the 26-year-old Nagy (1-2). He appeared to be close to the win near the end of the second five-minute round, but Nagy managed to extend the bout.

For those of you who have forgotten, Walker also holds a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has practiced in the kempo discipline as well.

Walker turned his attention to MMA almost three months ago when he moved to San Jose, California, to train at the American Kickboxing Academy. He prepared for his debut by practicing against Jon Fitch and Cain Velasquez.

"They're the ones that got me here," Walker said. "We sparred three days a week to get me ready."

Herschel Walker now has the first date in his three-fight deal for Strikeforce.
He's 48-years-old, but looks like he can still kick everyone's ass- including yours...

His debut is set for January 30.

The fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do is in a 12-week training camp in San Jose, California...

Fight Herschel Fight?

Count me as one of many who raised an eyebrow when this story came down the pike. It appears as though former College and Pro Football player Herschel Walker is about to take up a new sport. Though 47-years old, Walker has signed a deal to become an MMA fighter.

Walker, who still looks like he could play football, must have made quite an impression on Strikeforce owner Scott Coker. Walker still does his famous "Push-up" workouts every day and really does look like he could take on some one his age...or considerably younger.

We at OSG Sports have had the pleasure of interviewing Walker on several occasions, each time impressed with the depth and thoughtfulness of which he usually speaks. Yes, we know about the recent book where he declared that he had multiple personality disorder. As much as we think Walker looks the part, we kind of think that this smells just a bit like a publicity stunt. It would however, be quite interesting to imagine what...or how Larry Munson would call his first fight.
