We finally hear from Vick

All the talk...pretty much for the last month or two has been Michael Vick. Where is he going to go? What is he going to do? Who's going to get the first interview? So far, the answers have been; nowhere, nothing and James Brown/60 Minutes.

Might as well go to the Video, Courtesy of CBS News:

Too many people are hanging on the speculation of where the guy is going to play football. We've been guilty of it too. Really at this point. Let's wait and see if someone is willing to roll the dice, because picking him up is a "HUGE" PR risk. Stop guessing that he is going to play for "X" team just because he showed up in their city. (See Chicago) Or making teams (See Buffalo) have to say they aren't interested...multiple times.

The guy has paid a price for what he did. Let him try and make it in the one profession he is capable of making it in. It will be really obvious if he can or for that matter if he is faking all this.

Also, a big shout out for James Brown for getting this interview. I suspect that this clip was released to try and show that he did ask "The Tough Questions". I guess we will have to tune in Sunday to see how the whole thing plays out.

Please Stop Speculating...

Is anyone else tired of hearing...Oh, Michael Vick is in (blank) town...that must be the team that is going to sign him. Yeah...he has to be there for that, doesn't he?

Check out the latest adventure from David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune here .

More from the Chicago Sun-Times here .

Also, there is rampant speculation...and in some cases criticism of the "1st" Michael Vick interview, set to air Sunday on 60 minutes.

Check out this interesting take on the whole thing from the Baltimore Sun's TV Critic David Zurawick here .

I understand the point Zurawick is trying to make here but I think he's being really insulting to James Brown at the same time. No, JB is not a "High Falutin' News God, but he seems to be a pretty fair guy who knows how to tell a story. Anyone who has seen his work on "Real Sports" can attest to that. Zurawick...and others need to chill. Let Vick tell his story if he wants. It doesn't matter what he says "On TV". What is going to matter will be what he does off of it.
