Whitner was Robbed

It was a weird day on Sunday for Buffalo Bills Safety Donte Whitner. On one hand, he scored his first career NFL Touchdown, returning an interception 76 yards in a win versus Tampa Bay. On the other hand, while he was doing that, his house was being robbed...to the tune of $400,000 worth of Jewelery.

Whitner obviously was disappointed, but didn't know a lot about what happened at his Hamburg, New York home. Hamburg Police are investigating the incident. The cops have been busy this week in Hamburg, Sunday they were investigating the spray painting of Leodis McKelvin's front yard. Whitner does not think that the 2 incidents are related...maybe they are...maybe they aren't, but it sure does make people a bit curious.

Police ID Suspects In McKelvin Case

Monday was a tough day for Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin. He fumbled the football at the end of the Monday night match-up against the New England Patriots, and came home to find his lawn vandalized.

"I mean it is scary to a point you know, you got a lot of incidents that happen to football players and it is a way you know how far you can take it," said McKelvin at Bills media day today.

Neighbors of McKelvin noticed the spray paint on the cornerback's lawn Monday evening, which sources tell Eyewitness News contained an obscenity, along with the game's final score and the words "Take a Knee".

The incident became public knowledge when McKelvin's teammate Kawika Mitchell sent out a Tweet Tuesday morning.

"...it is just extremely dangerous when someone is going to come to your house and do anything that is going to affect you," Mitchell added today.

Hamburg Police officials tell Eyewitness News that they have identified two suspects in the crime, who have given Buffalo fans a black-eye across the nation.

"...it was shocking to me because that is not how the fans here are," noted Bills wide receiver Lee Evans.

McKelvin says that does not wish for anyone to be arrested for the act, adding, "our fans have been great. It is just one incident and I hope it does not happen anymore. I just don't want anybody to get arrested."
