Game 4 was locked up by Vancouver- especially when Sami Salo scored two goals within 16 seconds of each other. The Sedins had 7 assists between them...

Before today, Salo had only scored once in the playoffs. But the defenseman had the hot hand, and he was fed...

Well, you can scratch 2 names off of the NHL free agency ledger. To the surprise of few, the Vancouver Canucks have come to terms with the Sedin brothers on a new 5 year contract at a nice price...$6.1 million a year.

Already, despite poor economic conditions the NHL has been busy. From the Penguins re-signing Bill Guerin to the Rangers trading Scott Gomez...we are only a couple of days in and the money and contracts are flying. Stay tuned...because there is undoubtedly more to come.
