Yeah, and some guy named neither Larry Bird or Carl Nicks was not involved...
Their upset of Missouri State ((much to the chagrin of Brother Wilkie)) gives them the automatic and probably leaves the Bears heading to the NIT- much like their Coastal Carolina counterparts...

OSG Buzzer Beater: Indiana State Plays Beat The Clock
The last time we heard anything about Indiana State basketball Larry Bird was suiting up for the Sycamores.
Sunday Indiana State hosted Creighton in an important Missouri Valley Conference match-up and Junior forward Carl Richard became a hero banking in a buzzer beater to shoot down the Blue Jays 61-59.

Sycamores Kicker Focuses On Ability, Not Perceived Disability
Indiana State University kicker Brett Sheldon is hoping to get into Saturday's game at Cincinnati and help his team win.
Sheldon figures if he kicks a few field goals, it will help people see his talent first and not his birth defect.
The 22-year-old ISU Sophomore was born with arms that are only a foot or so long, and hands with only three fingers. He made Trent Miles' team as a walk-on and back-up kicker.
One of his coaches, Jesse Minter, says Sheldon is "an extra heartbeat" for the Sycamores.
