Those of us at the OSG HQ like Ozzie Guillen's rants and raves. Here's his latest from Monday Nights game against the Cubs.
Ozzie explains.... (Thanks CSN Chicago)
Had Ozzie wore a microphone and we encourage the White Sox TV partners to seriously consider that, it might have sounded like this classic rant by Earl Weaver. By the way don't let the kids see this, lots of foul language.

Ozzie Guillen Loves His Job
((HT: CSNChicago))
In today's version of "Ozzie And A Live Microphone" he talks about how much he loves his job and baseball and everything else that comes to mind...
Here he is...
Although, we almost posted the whole exchange between the, now, 0-8 John Denks and the Toronto Blue Jays Jose Bautista on how Denks thought the home run hitter ran the bases unsatisfactorily and came across as an "f'n clown..."
We'll eave that to the links hyah for Denks and hyah for Bautista...
Enjoy...

Ozzie Gets 2 For Tweeting
((HT: CSNChicago))
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen has been suspended and fined after being ejected from Wednesday's game against the Yankees and then tweeting about what went down while the game was still going on.
Guillen's actions were in violation of Major League Baseball's social media policy and other regulations regarding the use of electronic equipment during the course of the game.
He serves his two game suspension when the White Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend. The amount of the fine remains undisclosed and unknown.
Ozzie doesn't blame MLB for being mad...

Ozzie And His Tweets, Both Fun But Both May Be In Trouble...
((HT: CSN Chicago))
Ozzie Guillen has never been a man to leave a joke on the table...
He joked about Yankees starter Bartolo Colon and then Colon threw 8 strong innings in a win over the White Sox...
Guillen wouldn't be around to see all of it as he was ejected in the forst inning...
But it doesn't end there...
Ozzie went on his Twitter accout afterwards while he was cooling his heels...
“This one going to cost me a lot money this is patetic.” Guillen’s follow-up came six minutes later, in apparent reference to Tichenor: “Today a tough guy show up a yankee stadium.”
Here's what Ozzie said about all of it...
Sufficed to say, the MLB boys are investigating...

Ozzie To Jenks: Don't Talk About My Son...
((HT: CSN Chicago))
The war of words between former White Sox-now Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks and his now-former manager Ozzie Guillen has ramped back up again...
Short version: Jenks is running his mouth about how he was treated, from his point-of-view, during the last few years of his tenure in the bullpen.
Ozzie ain't hearing it... and he's thinking of giving Jenks' new boss some advice over the phone with his new employee.
It's standard Ozzie- which means it's priceless...
See...??? We told you...

Ozzie Guillen speaks his mind....again
![]() |

Case in point. Sunday, before his White Sox played the Oakland A's, he went off topic and started talking about something that truly irks him. And quite honestly, if you read what he says...he has a point.
More on Ozzie being Ozzie from the Chicago Sun-Times RIGHT HERE
It's an interesting topic of discussion, though probably not one that Major League Baseball is going to like to hear about. We suspect that a fine of some sorts will be following this rant shortly.
But, he, like we said, raises a legitimate question. We've covered baseball for years, been in plenty of locker rooms and have had to deal with not doing some interviews with Latino players just because there was nobody to translate. Or the player was too self-conscious about not speaking English or speaking it well and would decline.
We will grant that this should probably be a team decision rather than a league decision. The teams pay the Japanese interpreters, why can't they dish for a Spanish one? That probably is where Ozzie's questions should go.
Here's some video of Ozzie being Ozzie from CSN Chicago:
If you want to know why Ozzie is one of kind, along with the rants he has fun, here is Ozzie, with the chairshot to TNA Wrestler Simon Diamond from back in 2006. How many managers would play along with this? Thanks TNA and YouTube:

Hawk Has Issues With Joe West
Joe West, as an umpire, is really trying to make himself look like the center of attention- which umpires, really, aren't supposed to do...
Mark Buehrle had seven balks called on him in the last five years- two in one season alone...
He had two called on him yesterday by West... who is quickly reaffirming his status as "joke on display..." as West tossed Ozzie Guillen and Buehrle in the game at the Jake...
Hawk Harrelson and Steve Stone let him know how they really felt...
((HT: MouthpieceSports1/WGN/MLB))
Then, Ozzie was asked about the situation...
Classic Ozzie...

Ozzie Guillen Is Awesome
This is the guy who should replace Bobby Cox as the manager in Atlanta after the 2010 season...

Ozzie Guillen Does Not Like Cub Fans
Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen is talking again and he is no fan of Chicago Cub fans or even Wrigley Field.Sunday Guillen was asked why attendance for the Sox series with the Los Angeles Dodgers was weak (around 22,000 average) when the weekend series with the Cubs at US Cellular Field sold out, his response was pure Ozzie.
"Because our fans are not stupid like Cubs fans," Guillen said. "They know we're [expletive]."
Guillen wasn't through mouthing off. He went on to say that Cubs fans will watch any game at the friendly confines because "Wrigley Field is just a bar."
I think Ozzie Guillen is just getting warmed up.
Ripping Cub fans isn't new for instance when he managed the Cubs in 1983, Lee Elia went off on a expletive tirade that eventually got him fired. Here's the edited version. (Thanks Youtube.com)
And here's longtime Voice of the Cincinnati Reds Marty Brennaman and his broadcast partner Jeff Brantley ripping Cubs fans a year ago for raining baseballs at Wrigley Field.
