Will The Phils And Giants Do This Again In October...???

And, by that, we mean "brawl..."

The Giants' Ramon Ramirez drilled Shane Victorino in the 6th inning of a 9-2 loss to the Phillies starting a bench-clearing that led to ejections for Ramirez, Victorino and Giants catcher Eli Whiteside, who (literally) was hopping mad before setting off an all-out brawl. Whiteside was ready for Placido Polanco coming out of the dugout...

Victorino was asked if he thought Ramirez went after him intentionally...

"Yeah, absolutely, I think he did. That's why I took a step forward. I had no intentions of going out there and charging the mound. I just wanted to go out there and get an answer. ... Obviously, Eli felt like, from looking at his reaction, I was going to go. He started jumping around. Polanco came in and he tackled Polanco. Everything escalated from there."

Here's Victorino...

Obviously, there is quite a bit of outrage in the Windy City, this is apparently becoming a larger and larger problem amongst the "Bleacher Bums" who sit in the outfield.

Here is an open letter to Cub Fans from Craig Newman of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Craig Rosenbloom blasts the fan and the Cubs in general here .

Check out this story from the 4-Letter word (ESPN) on the Charges being pressed here .

It goes without saying just how stupid some people can be. At some point, there will end up being beer police...or just police in general who will have to sit with fans, not all of whom don't know how to behave...it's only a select few inbreds who act like they've never been in public before. But rather, the good fans who are there to have a good time...those are the folks who will suffer.
