NFL Playoffs: Steelers Rally Over Rival Ravens

This is going to get Tom Brady and Petyon Manning fans mad but can you find a better big game quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger.

Saturday Roethlisberger again led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens 31-24. Roethlisberger was 19-32 passing for 226 yards and two touchdowns. Roethliberger's biggest throw of the game can with less than two minutes left connecting for 58 yards to Antonio Brown.

"Let's just chuck it deep," Roethlisberger told offensive coordinator Bruce Arians just before he threw his biggest pass of the season. "If they pick it, it will be a pick way down there, just as good as a punt. ... I just throw it as far as I can.'"

"It was kind of amazing," Brown said. "It kind of stuck to my shoulder."

Five plays later Rashard Mendenhall bulled his way in the end zone for the game winner.

Your Wild Card Weekend Wrapup

We know who won't be moving on to the Super Bowl now. Sunday's games didn't really produce any surprises like Saturday did. Two teams are now done for the year.

One, the Phildelphia Eagles. They got beat. At home. By the Green Bay Packers, in a really good, old fashioned slobberknocker. Though it took at Tramon Williams interception of a Michael Vick pass in the end zone with 33 seconds left in the game to secure the win.

Next up for the Pack. A trip to a currently snowbound Atlanta and a date with the top seeded Atlanta Falcons. The two teams played just a few weeks ago, with the Falcons winning a nail-biter 20-17 at the Georgia Dome. Kickoff is set for Saturday night at 8.

As for the AFC game....the Ravens did what seemingly always do, win their 1st Playoff game on the road. They squared off with the upstart Kansas City Chiefs, in KC, and took care of business. 30-7, a relatively easy win for them.

It was an emotional day for the Ravens and safety Ed Reed. Reed's brother had gone missing the day before after supposedly jumping in the Mississippi river. His brother has yet to be found.

Sergio Kindle charged with DUI, has more charges than games played

Geez. Sometimes, they make it too easy. The top draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens this past season, one Sergio Kindle, was arrested last night and charged with speeding, DUI and failure to obey traffic control devices.

Yes, this isn't Mr. Kindle's first dance with those in law enforcement. While at the University of Texas, he was arrested for DUI in 2007 at age 20, we might add,  and in 2009, he drove into a parked building, yes, I said a building.

He wasn't playing this season due to injuries suffered when he fell down not one, but two flights of stairs. Read our story from that incident in July of this year....RIGHT HERE

Amazingly, the Ravens still gave Kindle a contract for this season. Granted, it was for essentially the league minimum, $320,000, but still he's getting paid essentially for doing nothing other than showing up. Based on reports, Kindle may never actually play for the Ravens...or anyone else and while we feel badly that the injury suffered in the fall down the stairs may have derailed his career before it started, in the long run, the Ravens probably don't need the headache's a healthy Kindle would cause.

Ed Reed is "En Fuego"....Literally

Yeah, we went there. Really, there isn't much to say here other than Haha! glad you weren't hurt. So in that vein, we'll do a quick set-up. Baltimore Ravens Safety Ed Reed is on the sideline while his teams offense is on the field. The Ravens were in Cleveland, playing the Browns, which means it was really, really cold.

So Reed did what most would do, put on a heavy jacket and sit down near a heater. Only he got a bit too close.

Dolphins Crowder Claims McClain Spit On Him

In the third quarter of the Ravens-Dolphins game Sunday afternoon, Dolphins LB Channing Crowder got into a bit of a tete-a-tete with ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain. Crowder says ((below)) a bunch of not nice things about McClain.

The allegation was backed up by some of Crowder's teammates- including Kendall Langford...

"Yeah, he spit in his face," Langford said. "That's the lowest thing you can do to a man in my book. That was very disrespectful. I think something should be done about it.

"It was that kind of game. He had been talking all game. They had been going back and forth all game. I guess, one thing led to another, then that happened. It was bad."

Sergio Kindle falls down stairs and gets hurt....

And we thought it was only baseball players who get strange, odd injuries. It appears that the Baltimore Ravens draft pick, Sergio Kindle won't be in camp this week, with...or without a contract.

No, Kindle is currently sitting in a hospital in Austin, Texas. He's in the hospital because he apparently, according to a report, fell down...not one...but two flights of stairs at a house in Austin.

Okay. No, we don't know Kindle and we don't know his background or history...but does anyone else think this sounds a bit odd? He did , while in college, manage to crash into the side of an apartment building in the middle of the night. He was never charged with anything and avoided a breath test.

We aren't saying this wasn't just an unfortunate accident, but one wonders how you fall down two flights of stairs in a house since in most homes, the stairs just really don't line up evenly for that to happen.

Hopefully, it was just a bad accident and Kindle will recuperate and be just fine. But this has the smell of intoxication reeking all over it. We hope we are wrong...but.....
