((HT: Birmingham News/Demmons))

It had been rumored for a couple weeks, but Roger Penske made it official today -- Brad Keselowski will drive full time next year for Penske Racing.

Keselowski will take over the No. 12 from David Stremme and joins Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish Jr. on a team that has mostly improved over last year.

"We are very excited to welcome Brad to the Penske Racing family,"
said Roger Penske. "Brad has shown terrific success on track the past several years and has quickly established himself as one of the top young stars in racing. He comes from an impressive family background in motorsports. He is a proven winner and a welcome addition to our team."

Keselowski, of course, is best known for his win at Talladega Superspeedway in April when he got by Carl Edwards coming through the tri-oval and put the James Finch-owned car in Victory Lane for the first time.

Keselowski has been running the Nationwide Series full time for Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports. That ride is now available and Kelly Bires is said to be a front-runner for it.
