Gauthier Gets Five For Elbowing

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Denis Gauthier has been suspended five games without pay for hitting Montreal Canadiens' defenceman Josh Gorges in the head in a game on January 31.
Gauthier was initially given a five minute major for charging and a game misconduct on Saturday.

Gauthier will forfeit CAN$56,451.61, which goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
He will be eligible to return on February 14th against the Oilers.

If you watch what happened, it looks like Gauthier left his feet- right elbow first- and put Gorges on the express train to Loopyville...

Not cool...
