Seton Hall University parted ways with their basketball coach today. Bobby Gonzalez, who had well...not much success at the Hall was let go today after his team lost in the 1st Round of the NIT Tournament which is as far as they've gotten in his 5 years at the helm.
Gonzalez also apparently was not particularly well thought of by his bosses though they had extended his contract back in the fall. Said the man overseeing the Athletic Department Patrick Hobbs "Performance and success are not measured solely by wins and losses but also in the conduct of those associated with the program". We aren't sure what that meant, but we might mention that Gonzalez had run-ins with other coaches over the course of his tenure along with amassing a pretty impressive string of technical fouls. He also was criticized by forward Robert Mitchell whom he subsequently threw off of the team.

None of this portray's Gonzalez particularly well. Another "Incident" which reflected rather badly on him and his team happened in the aforementioned NIT game, when Pirates forward Herb Pope...let's just say hit a Texas Tech player...slightly below the belt.
Check out the video though it is a bit wobbly off of a TV. Thanks You Tube:
