Sens Make A Move - Hartsburg Gone

Craig Hartsburg got pink slipped Monday by the Ottawa Senators.

Hartsburg was fired Monday after 48 games and it seems the 08-09 Sens won't make the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons. That will get you axed pretty fast.

Ottawa promoted Cory Clouston, who had been the head coach of the AHL"s Binghamton Senators, for the rest of the season.

Clouston is the Senators' fourth coach since Ottawa appeared in the 2007 Stanley Cup finals.

The Senators are currently 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 17-24-7 record and are 14 points out of eighth spot and final playoff spot. Ottawa's 41 points is the 3rd worst in the NHL.
