Smells Like a Publicity Stunt

There is a report circulating today from Garry Parrish over at CBSSports.com that to say the least is a bit...interesting. You can read it here .

In the story, LeBron James allegedly was posterized on a dunk by Xavier University Sophomore Jordan Crawford. As the story goes, after the slam, which was captured on video at the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio; James had his "People" "Confiscate" the tape shot by 2 Videographers.

Now, being cynical of nature, I have some questions/concerns here. 1st of all, as a Professional Videographer, unless you are a Police Officer with a warrant, you aren't getting my tape. I may have to leave the premisis, but you still aren't getting my tape.

The other thing that makes me suspicious here is that it was "Nike" people involved. The reason that I question them is that this has all of the makings of a "Viral Video" commercial/story. They pull something like this, knowing full well that it will get out to the "Internet" community (us) and become a talked about story. They then will spin it into a Marketing Campaign.

Since we don't have the video either (Until Nike Starts their campaign), take a look at the perpetrator Jordan Crawford dunking the ball.
