Friday Morning Update...Free Agent Bingo begins...

Sorry for the tardiness in the morning report, there were things that needed to be done first.

Free Agent Bingo

We've already reported on probably the 2 biggest transactions thus far in the NFL Free Agency period. The reason this is a little more interesting than normal is the fact that there is no Salary Cap and anybody can spend as much...or as little as they want.

Today's business. Wide Receiver Nate Burleson, late of Seattle signs a 5-year, $25million deal with the Detroit Lions. Burleson is a decent receiver but an $11 million guaranteed deal? Hmmmnm...in Detroit he'll line up with Calvin Johnson and give Matthew Stafford a little more to work with.

Gary Brackett, Linebacker for the Colts will remain with the Colts. Brackett also gets a 5-year contract for $33 million and a $12 million signing bonus according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Schefter's story is RIGHT HERE

Brandon Manumaleuna, Tight End formerly of San Diego is now currently with the Chicago Bears after agreeing to a 5-year deal according to the 4-letter word. Again, details are fuzzy but the deal has been agreed upon just not finalized.

The Philadelphia Eagles now have the highest paid Fullback in the NFL, one Mr. Leonard Weaver. They forked over a 3 year deal to Weaver for up to $11 million, $6.5 of which is guaranteed.

There are tons of other rumors floating around including Dunta Robinson formerly of the Texans going to the Falcons. According to the Texans beat writer John McClain of the Houston Post-Chronicle..."Dunta Robinson is on his way to Atlanta. Expect him to sign with the Falcons today. He's a Georgia Native who played at South Carolina.". To add to that, Robinson actually played his High School ball at Clarke Central High in Athens.

Stay tuned, we suspect there will be more as the day goes.

In honor of Free Agency Bingo...We bring you Bingo...the nursery rhyme. Enjoy the subtle humor. Thanks You Tube:
