The game was broadcast by the 4-letter word and if you saw the end of it, the fans rushed the floor after it was over. Why? We don't know. Yeah, it is great that they beat the hated Dukies, who by the way were ranked #4 going in and are now tied with the Terps for the ACC lead. That's great and all good cause for celebrating.
But why would the fans proceed out into the streets and start a small riot? It's not like you won a national title or anything. Come on guys, act like you've won a game before. You are showing your lack of class and general social skill. We often sit and wonder why winning a sports game gives anyone the right or entitlement to feel like they can just run out and destroy stuff. The dumb-asses who allegedly attend Maryland gives them and pretty much anyone who is a fan of College basketball a bad name.
According to reports, there were over 1500 people participating and at least 27 were arrested for destroying various pieces of property. If any of those arrested were students...they should be expelled from school. No questions asked. Maybe that will slow the morons down.
