Tuesday Morning Sports Story Update

Normally we will crank out individual stories on whatever stories look like they might be interesting and throw them out with our thoughts and see what people think.

This morning, the Satellite HQ is going to try something a little different. Partially just to do it and partially because there are a bunch of small stories, but nothing worth devoting a couple hundred words to.

Lebron to Change Jerseys

Yes, in an effort to sell more jerseys...and according to LeBron an act of respect for his idol...Michael Jordan, the King has petitioned the NBA to allow him to change his jersey number from 23 to 6.

Why is this important you ask? Because apparently you have to do it if you are going to stay on the team you are currently playing on. However....if you change teams it doesn't matter, you can pick whatever jersey you want. Read into that what you will...and trust us, the folks in Cleveland and the New York area already are reading a lot into it. The whole thing is just kind of worth a mention.

Iverson is done in Philly

According to several reports coming out of Philadelphia, the answer is Allen Iverson is done. Iverson took leave of the 76ers on Feb.20th, citing personal reasons and has not returned to the club. He apparently will not be rejoining them...the rest of the year.

He is supposed to be at his home in Atlanta taking care of his seriously ill 4-year old daughter. However there was a report that he was featured in an add for a Party at a club in the Charlotte, NC area over the weekend. We aren't judging on that...you can take in the information and do that yourself.

If you are interested, here is a 60 minutes story on LeBron James done early in 2009. Thanks CBS News and You Tube:
