Blowing in the Wind

Greetings from beautiful Augusta, Georgia faithful OSG readers. Today was day 1 out on the course for yours truly and let me tell you, it was a weird one. The weather, sometimes an issue over here was a big one today. It had an impact on just about everything.

The first clue something was not right was at about 9am this morning. For the first time in the now 10 years I've been coming here, there was no Tiger Woods on the course this morning. Because of the 40 degree weather and the 25+ mile and hour winds, he decided to...well not come out. In his presser today he said "There's no point in playing in this, the weather is supposed to be completely different by the time we start the tournament". Let's hope he's right.

Quite honestly, there really wasn't much to report. Only a handful of golfers hit the course and most of them were guys nobody has heard of. Phil Mickelson was the first guy out at 8am and also the first in. Mickelson said "It wasn't that cold, I just wanted to get some work in". Fair enough.

Tomorrow is Par 3 day, which is usually a bit more entertaining. Unfortunately there really wasn't much to report on today other than the fact that the OSG is here. We are here and will be providing reports...all week long
