Those of us at OSG HQ have always had an affinity for journalists who have tackled their work with style, grace, elegance, balance, and "old school" charm.
WSMV's Dan Miller was one of those guys. You never went through Nashville on a roadie without checking out Dan, Demetria Kalodimos, and Rudy Kalis on Channel 4.
Dan was home in Augusta and passed away after having a heart attack while showing Rudy his old neighborhood ((again- he did it the year before, but Rudy never minded)). This after they caught a practice round on Washington Road.
Short of sending you to WSMV's page for all of the remembrances from an entire state-that's how impactful he was to Nashvillians and Tennesseans, here's a video that Dan made after his 2008 visit to Augusta- with Rudy and WSMV's Terry Bulger. Rudy hadn't been to the tournament in years and Bulger had never been until Dan took them both.
Dan's last words on camera are extremely poignant...
He will be missed...
