Josh Peter from Yahoo!Sports relayed the story of how the Marcos de Niza Padres came about wearing pink jerseys and raised funds for a local Komen Chapter.
Seven grand worth of funds...
The daughter of the AD at Marcos de Niza High had the idea, and peppered her dad on it. Initially, there was no way he was going to have his players wear pink. But when he found out just how many of his players were impacted, he went after the idea.
With some help from the Arizona Cardinals, the looked great in their 42-0 shutout
