No Scott Drew For Memphis: Now What...?

((HT: Memphis Commercial Appeal/Dan Wolken))
Dan Wolken got to spend his weekend sorting through what's left of the early stages of the Memphis coaching search- just as successful as Arizona's.

"There will be no comment until this is over," athletic director R.C. Johnson said on Sunday night. This as it's widely believed that current FSU coach Leonard Hamilton is the leading candidate for the job.

The "Seven Deadly Myths of The Search" were also addressed by Wolken:
1) Scott Drew was not a smoke screen.
2) RC Johnson and his crew are not working on a "Wow" hire anymore...
3) Hiring Billy Gillispie would be a bad idea.
4) Hiring Reggie Theus might be a good hire, but also a risky one.
5) Hiring an NBA guy would be a bad idea.
6) Andy Kennedy's problems in Cincinnati will, probably, keep him from consideration.
7) Derek Kellogg would, probably, not come after only one year at UMass.

Which leaves Memphis open-handed...
For now...
