Mangini is at it again...This time it's James Davis

Can someone please explain again how exactly Eric Mangini is able to be an NFL Football coach? It seems like it has been a non-stop spiral into hell for the Cleveland Browns ever since the "Man-Genius" arrived on the shores of Lake Erie after being fired in New York.

This time Mangini and the Browns are being investigated by the NFL for something that happened in practice. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Browns, for some unkown reason allowed rookie Running Back James Davis to participate in a drill during a "Post Practice Opportunity Period" (whatever that is) without his shoulder pads. According to Schefter and his sources, Davis was "Trucked" by a "Frisky" linebacker who had "His" pads on. The result, Davis' already slightly injured shoulder was injured a whole lot worse. The report was of course denied by the Browns and Mangini, however Schefter claims at least 5 independent sources corroborated what happened to him.

We won't rush to judgement here and say that this is abosolutely true and for Mangini and the Browns sake you better hope it isn't. To say that they have a had a "Bad" run of luck lately would be a bit of an understatement and the fact that they beat Buffalo in one of the worst games in NFL history yesterday isn't going to change that. The only saving grace they have at this point is that they aren't the Oakland Raiders though they quickly are gaining on them. One has to wonder considering all the dysfunction happening in Cleveland right now if Mangini was the right person for the job, the evidence seems to be pointing in the "No" department, but maybe something strange will happen and things will turn around. Of course that should happen on the same day that Cleveland reports a 90 degree day in January.
