73-Year-Old On Social Security Sued By Redskins- And That Ain't All...

What if you signed a contract, but couldn't afford it because of the economy after you signed it...???

Question for a 73-year-old realtor, Pat Hill ((pictured, thanks Linda Davidson/Washington Post)), who has been a Redskins season ticket holder since the 1960's. It was a 10-year deal, but the downturn in the housing market caused Hill not to be able to keep the terms up to date.

She's making $400-a month right now on Social Security- and that's it. She still can't afford the tickets...

What did the 'Skins do...??? Sue the blue hell out of her... They won a summary judgement for a little over $66-grand after she asked the team to waive the contract terms for a season or two.

No dice... the Redskins sued Hill in Prince George's County Circuit Court for backing out of a 10-year ticket-renewal agreement after the first year. The team sought payment for every season through 2017, plus interest, attorneys' fees and court costs.

Redskins general counsel David Donovan told the Post's James Grimaldi in the article:
"I don't know of any pro football team that doesn't ((sue their fans))," he said.

Actually, Grimaldi found out that nine outright do not sue...

Here's the Grimaldi piece- it covers outright business shenanigans by the Redskins in re-selling their ducats and, as others allege, involve shady business practices in order to collect the dollars in question...

All the above story does is give us an excuse to show really old redskins highlights from the 1983 NFC championship game against the Dallas Cowboys
