Central State Grabs EJ Junior

As their new head coach...

Central State University has hired Southwest Baptist defensive coordinator E.J. Junior as its new head football coach.

The Ohio college about 15 miles east of Dayton says Junior will arrive on campus Friday. Junior replaces Al West, who was released in January after posting a 2-7 season.

Junior had a standout playing career at Alabama, played in the NFL for 13 seasons and had coaching stints with several NFL teams.

In February, he was promoted to defensive coordinator at Southwest Baptist.
