UK Speaks On Gillispie Dismissal

Former UK men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie is set to speak tomorrow to give his side of the dismissal that the university addressed today.

Our coverage comes from our friends at WKYT-TV...
Rob Bromley quarterbacks from Memorial Coliseum with sound from AD Mitch Barnhart and President Lee Todd...

Barnhart addressed the "philosophical difference" and Dr. Todd "a lack of understanding." Both addressed the "memorandum of understanding" ((not a contract)) between the University and Gillispie. The coach served two years of an agreed-to seven and, from the university's point-of-view, the document went unsigned.

Buzz Baker also addresses the idea of the UK Athletic Association being a different entity from the University itself.
