Mainly, since it's not steeped in any reality.
But the "Real Housewives" series on Bravo has a bit of a sports tie-in...
One of the housefraus is Sheree Whitfield ((all the way over on the right, thanks BravoTV)) ex-wife of former Atlanta Falcon Bob Whitfield- therefore, using that "Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon" logic, we're running the story below.
Rodney Ho from the AJC tells us Sheree has some apparent monetary issues in and around the divorce proceedings with her ex...
"Sheree herself is being sued for more than $87,000 by her former legal representative for the divorce, Levine & Smith. The complaint, dated February 2, 2009, and filed at the Superior Court of Fulton County, states that Sheree Whitfield owes $69,343.98 in principal going back to May 10, 2006. Interest on the unpaid amount, based on a monthly interest rate of 1.5%, is $17,832.93 through January 31, 2009, according to the filing.
According to the complaint:
“Defendent’s refusal to pay said debt as agreed constitutes an act of bad faith and has caused the Plaintiff unnecessary trouble and expense, thereby entitling Plaintff to an award of its expenses of litigation, including reasonable attorney’s fees in an amount to be proven by the evidence at trial.”
Steven Montalto, the attorney representing Levine & Smith, said Thursday that the firm has been unable to find Sheree Whitfield in order to serve her the summons and a copy of the complaint.
We would suggest any local, high-brow, frou-frou happening. We would also like to remind her lawfirm that Season 2 of her series is airing soon on that-there Bravo Network.
They, surely, have a production schedule that the network and the production company are aware of. Each housewife, allegedly, gets $10,000 per episode- not a bad haul.
Sheree's got a workout DVD and a book in the works.
We're also supposed to be watching out for her clothing line: "She By Sheree"
She catches up with Rahiem Shabazz below and also alludes to some abuse in her relationship when asked about Chris Brown and Rihanna...
We'd love to know how Rahiem can find her, but the legal-types can't...
Just axin'...
