Wayman Tisdale Dies

OSG has learned of the death of former Oklahoma great and NBA player Wayman Tisdale who for 2 years has fought cancer, a disease that caused his right leg to be amputated last August. Tisdale was 44.

Before Tisdale arrived in Norman, Oklahoma basketball was just something to do between football and spring football at OU. With Tisdale's talents Sooner basketball was on the radar screen. He became a 3-Time All-American and until 2007, was the only freshman to be named to the All-American team.

After a 12 year NBA career, Tisdale moved to his first love, music and became a accomplished jazz musician.
