The Dirty Dozen and Bottom of the Barrel Face Facts

The facts, as we see them are this. We already know who is going to be in the Championship game. It's going to be Florida or Alabama against Texas...we know that. Really, it's a crying shame that TCU won't get a chance because quite honestly, I think that they'd have a shot. Heck, Utah beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl last year and TCU manhandled Utah last week. Yeah...it's disappointing. I guess not if you are a fan of one of the big 3...which by the way, way too many of you are...but I digress.

This week, we edge closer to rivalry week which is followed immediately by Championship week. Yes, the season is almost over...sadly, though aside from TCU and Cincinnati, it really hasn't been a very interesting season.

So anyway, enough of my whining...in this weeks clip, the Dozen fight there way into a command post...enjoy the clip...and thanks You Tube:

And after that...it's "On with the Countdown"-Thanks Casey!

The Dirty Dozen:

1) Florida 10-0 (I really can't say much. Until they lose, they are #1. Period. They aren't always pretty, but they are deep...and balanced. They do what is necessary to win...what else can you ask for. It's kind of like the Yankees. The fans of the team love them, but nobody else does. This Week: Florida 45, FIU 10)
2) Alabama 10-0 (They also have just taken care of business. They aren't flashy...but as long as Mark Ingram is there, they will be good. As much as I'd like mutual destruction when they play Florida...it's going to be a good game. This Week: Alabama 38, UT-Chatt. 6)
3) Texas 10-0
(Nothing can stand in there way at this point. Really, does anyone think Texas A&M or the 12 North Champ have a shot? This Week: Texas 37, Kansas 21)
4) TCU 10-0 (This team is the reason I HATE the BCS. They very well could be the best team in College Football, but we will never know. Heck, the SEC loser will probably still be ranked ahead of them. This Week: TCU 36, Wyoming 12)
5) Cincinnati 10-0
(How good of a Coach is Brian Kelly? Look what he is doing with 2 really good QB's on the team. If the D was a little better, they'd be there with TCU because the offense is good...really good. Kelly will be the hottest coach on the carousel this winter, but don't be surprised if he stays. This Week: Cincinnati BYE WEEK)
6) Boise St 10-0
(They get to stay here by virtue of remaining undefeated. Yes, they are very good. Yes, they have a good offense. No, they don't play anyone of note. Oregon in week 1 was it. They've beaten everyone else easily. This Week: BSU 41, Utah St. 19)
7) Georgia Tech 10-1
(They get down early against Duke and then reel off 42 straight unanswered points. 'Nuff said. As long as they don't make mistakes, they are a bitch to play. This Week: They don't play...BYE WEEK)
8) Pittsburgh 9-1 (The Wannstache's are doing what is needed. They handled Charlie the Hutt and his Irish with relative ease. They've taken care of most of their business. This Week: BYE)
9) Oregon 8-2
(I still think this is a dangerous team. They have all of the tools, they've just not been "all there" 2 times this season. This Week: Oregon 31, Arizona 21)
10) Stanford 7-3
(Quite possibly the hottest team in College Football right now. Big, strong and physical...with a little speed. They'd be great in the 10. This Week: Stanford 30, Cal. 21)
11) Ohio State 9-2
(I'm just not impressed with them. They aren't that good. But I have to put them here since they are in the Rose Bowl. One reason they always tank in a Bowl game may be that they end there season this week. Just sayin'. This Week: Ohio State 37, Michigan 13)
12) LSU 8-2
(A lot of polls knocked them down for last week, but failed to consider how beat up they were after the Alabama game. They did what was needed. If Jordan Jefferson is healthy, they can stay here...if not...not so much. This Week: LSU 19, Ole Miss 13)

The Bottom of the Barrel:

5) Washington State 1-9 (Can someone please just shoot them and put them out of their misery? You can't say "BAD FOOTBALL" without mentioning Washington State. This Week: Oregon St. 43, Washed St. 7)
4) Bald St. 1-9
(They are back. They won a game the week before and got a temporary reprieve...but that's gone now. They are back where they belong. This Week: Central Michigan 38 LeFevours, Bald St. 16 Hairs)
3) W. Kentucky 0-10
(They move up, only because they nearly won last week. That doesn't excuse the fact that they've barely won since moving to D-1. That won't change. This Week: Bye Week 30, WKU 10)
2) New Mexico 0-10
(They too get a reprieve from being the ultimate laughing stock because they nearly beat BYU last week. The effort alone keeps you from being the worst of the worst...for at least a week. This Week: Colorado St. 28, New Mexico 20)
1) E.Michigan 0-10
(Ladies and gentleman, our new #1. And deservedly so. It's a bad year to be a football team in Michigan as evidenced by this teams general lack of skill. Sorry, I had to say it...it's true. This Week: Toledo 41, E.Mich. 21)

OK...sorry for the lack of enthusiasm this week. It' s been really dreary here at the OSG Satellite offices and I have a huge headache today.

That being said....LAST WEEK: 14-2...only because I didn't pick the Spreads...
Overall: 115-35...Maybe I have a future in this?
