Favre Didn't Really Want To Go

Given the choice, would you rather be playing in sweaty Tampa Bay and have a chance to get to a Super Bowl, or go to the Meadowlands, fight winds, have doors opened that create ghost-gusts, and maybe finish third in your own division- the AFC East...?

Apparently, if you're Number Four in Gang Green, the answer is not the AFC despite the smiles shown in the press conference photo from Cleveland ((thanks Antonelli/NY Daily News))...

According to the guy who flew Brett Favre around in his recent round-trips to Green Bay from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Four had some misgivings about his new home...

Grant Goetsch, the Vice President of Wisconsin Aviation, had both hands on the wheel and one ear in the cabin as the Flock du Favre went back and forth. But then he was interviewed by Adam Tobias of the Watertown (WI) Daily Times when it was all over.

“He and his agent were continually working I'm sure all night talking on and off with the different teams,” Goetsch added. “He was aware of both (teams), but the comment was made that he wasn't as interested in the Jets."

We also got to find out that Favre likes to do crossword puzzles on those flights back and forth from Goetsch... never would have guessed.

Enjoy the 21st-Century equivalent of Namath as a Ram and Unitas as a Charger Jets Fan...the saga moves to Gotham...

Does this big mouth Goetch guy ever think Favre is going to fly with him again? Would you want a limo driver talking to reporters about everything he sees in the back. I wonder how long this company VP is going to be employed?

Actually, we're all surprised that he hasn't ended up on TMZ or Inside Edition yet...
