Tony Bennett's Heart Is In Charlottesville...

((HT: WCAV-TV))

Tony Bennett met the media Wednesday afternoon. After reaching an agreement on Monday, Bennett was officially introduced as the new Cavalier men's basketball head coach at a news conference.

The dining area at John Paul Jones Arena was filled with administrators, coaches, and some high profile Cavalier fans. Al Groh, Debbie Ryan, Brian O'Connor, and Howie Long were all there to familiarize themselves with the new coach.

Bennett says he hopes to get to work immediately, and he's already begun filling his coaching staff. Liberty Head Coach, Rich McKay stepped down Wednesday, and is expected to join Bennett's staff. He says he'll build the program on passion and integrity. Bennett is happy about his move to Virginia, and compared it to a relationship, getting emotional when talking about his family.

Not bad for an average of $1.7-million per year...
