More On The Closing Down Of "Manny World"

Here's the statement released by Major League Baseball on the Manny Ramirez suspension.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that outfielder Manny Ramirez of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been suspended for 50 games for a violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of Ramirez is effective immediately.

Those of you that are shocked by this news please raise your hand...... that's what I thought.

Even Mr. Artificial Muscle himself, Jose Canseco, knew that Manny was being Manny and pumped himself up. The Los Angeles Times reported Thursday morning that in an appearance at USC last month, Jose Canseco said Ramirez's name "is most likely, 90%" on a list of 104 players that failed a drug test in 2003. The players were promised anonymity for taking tests in 2003; Rodriguez is the only player that has been identified among that group.

You can't fix stupid.
