Diana Taurasi has had her contract terminated by Turkish club Fenerbahce after her "B" sample tested positive for doping.
The Istanbul-based club says the decision was made after the results were announced by the Turkish Basketball Federation.
Taurasi faces a ban of up to two years, which means she may be ineligible to play for Team USA in the London 2012 games.
Her "A" sample tested positive last month for modafinil following a Turkish league game back on November 13th. Taurasi had been suspended by Fenerbahce ever since.
The Turkish fed, which announced the positive "B" sample result on its website, says there has been no immediate decision on Taurasi's any kind of punishment.
