Graham Harrell Says "Great Chance" Leach Is Leaving Texas Tech

Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell has spoken about his head coach Mike Leach and it's probably not what Red Raider fans want to hear. Harrell was quoted by the Associated Press that there is a "great chance" Leach is leaving Lubbock. If Leach moves on it's not because of Texas Tech.

"I think it has to do more with him wanting a new challenge," Harrell said.

"There's a great chance" he'd leave, Harrell said. "But if he stays he's going to continue to be successful here, and I'd love to see that."

Leach has withdrawn his name from consideration at Washington. A job Steve Sarkisian will apparently get but he seems to be the hot topic of conversation at Auburn.

Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers says the school is negotiating with Leach a contract extension and raise.

"He deserves every penny he gets, he deserves every offer, and wherever he goes he'll be successful, and it'll be fun to watch," Harrell said.
