Unassisted Tackler Arraigned In Mass Court

Christopher Gasper of the Boston Globe brings us this week's contender for "Social Darwinism Winner of the Week."

"The fan who came out of the stands and tackled Patriots linebacker Junior Seau during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 47-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals was arraigned yesterday in Wrentham District Court on charges of trespassing and assault and battery.

Todd Kobus, 31, of Attleborough ((pictured under Seau/thanks, Matthew West-Boston Herald)) was arrested by the Foxborough Police at Sunday's game after he tackled a startled Seau, who said he thought it was a teammate joking around until he was rolling around on the ground and realized it was a fan in street clothes.
"The subject jumped over the wall and proceeded to tackle Junior Seau," said Foxborough Police Deputy Chief John Chandler.

The Patriots revoked the season-ticket privileges associated with the seat that Kobus was in. He was ordered by the court to stay away from Gillette Stadium, pending his trial. Kobus, who entered a standard not-guilty plea, is due back in court for a preliminary hearing February 17."

Post-game with Seau is below...
We wouldn't want to cross this guy still...
