SPOKANE, Wash. - The Portland State Vikings had to travel almost two days around a snow storm to make it to Spokane to play #7 Gonzaga in what was supposed to be a bounce-back win for the Zags after a tough OT loss to #2 UConn on Saturday. Gonzaga players and coaches walk off the floor after their loss to Portland State on Tuesday night.

Rather than turning in a road-weary performance, the Vikings (9-3) showed great hustle and got huge plays by the smallest player on the floor, 5'6" Jeremiah Dominguez, to allow the Vikings to walk away with one of the bigger upsets of the college basketball season as they beat Gonzaga 77-70 Tuesday night at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Dominguez killed the Zags from beyond the arc, using his hair trigger release to score 25 points on 7-10 three-point shooting.

The Vikings also used their superior hustle in their drive-and-dish offense to score 27 second-chance points to Gonzaga's two second-chance points in only the third game Gonzaga has ever lost in the four year history of the McCarthey Athletic Center.
