Word out of Las Vegas in the middle of the night, east coast time, is that both CJ Stewart and OJ Simpson are guilty on twelve counts ranging from kidnapping to armed robbery.
The irony of the date of the verdict being thirteen years to the day of the not guilty verdict in the Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman murders isn't lost on a lot of us media types.
Rest assured that the issue in paragraph two will be raised as a point in any appeal of the verdicts. Don't be surprised if the long day in the jury room ((13 hours of deliberation)) will be brought up as well.
Thomas Riccio, in an interview with Jonathan Hunt of FoxNews, admitted that his only regret in his testimony and the entire process of the meeting in the hotel/arrest/trial was his idea that Las Vegas police were not in the adjoining hotel room as he had initially requested. Riccio, you'll remember, was the individual who orchestrated the meeting in Las Vegas for the recovery of the Simpson memorabilia that led to the brandishing of firearms, kidnapping, and robbery of same.
Riccio also claims that, once he was convinced that Simpson was set up and is not guilty of the charges in the case, the media wanted nothing to do with him and didn't want to hear his revelation of self-diagnosis.
Simpson and Stewart will be sentenced in thirty days time.
Riccio caught up with ABC 13 in Las Vegas as well...
