BREAKING NEWS: Coaching Changes At Auburn

OSG has learned from sources that Tony Franklin ((pictured, thanks Charles Goldberg/The Birmingham News)) the offensive coordinator at Auburn, has been relieved of duties halfway through the season.

Tuberville is quoted in al.com "After evaluating where we are at this point of the season offensively, I felt it was in the best interest of the Auburn football program to make this change," Tuberville said. "I'm not satisfiedwith where we are and I am personally going to take a larger role with the offense the remainder of the season. We are going to work harder than ever to make sure we consistently improve as we move forward."

Franklin was fired shortly before Auburn's practice in preparations for Saturday's game against Arkansas.

Franklin had told friends that he did not believe he was being allowed to run the offense he took the job to run.

Tuberville will announce who will run the plays for before Saturday.

This is video of Franklin and his textbooks being asked to vacate the premises... At least him got to keep his Auburn shirt as a consolation prize.
