The Miracle Rays

The wild ride of the Tampa Bay Rays continues as the Rays move on to the American League Championship Series. Tampa Bay defeated the Chicago White Sox last night 6-2 to win their AL Division Series 3 games to 1.

What we are now seeing is the Miracle Mets 39 years later. Remember the 1969 New York Mets? I don’t because I was 2 years old. The Mets were horrible for 6 years then the planets aligned and suddenly, the Mets won the NLCS and beat the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 1 to win the World Series.

Tampa Bay has finished last 9 of the franchises first 10 seasons and now out of no where the Rays win the toughest division in baseball, the American League East, defeat the Chicago White Sox in the team’s first playoff series and now face division rival Boston in the ALCS.

You can read more here from the Tampa Tribune.

The win over the White Sox was the teams 100th win this year.
