Hudson to Stay with Braves

According to a published report. Tim Hudson will be staying a Brave for at least the next 3 years. Hudson, who returned to the Braves late last season after recovering from Tommy John surgery on his elbow, had made it know he wanted to stay in Atlanta and it looks like that is what is going to happen. The announcement will supposedly be made after the World Series.

The story from MLB.com is here .

It's a good move for the Braves who have and still do have one of the stronger pitching staffs in baseball. Plus if as expected, the terms are for a lesser salary, it gives the Braves more room to go after what they need, a power hitter in the offseason. Hudson who is one of the locker room leaders for the team, gives the Braves flexibility to include one of their other pitchers in a trade this winter should they decide that is the route they want to take.

Look for the Braves to be very active, as they want to take the team back to where they were in the late 90's and earlier this decade.
