Longest Game In Calder Cup History: 2OT + 6 Seconds

Dustin Boyd's goal ended the longest Game 7 in American Hockey League history, and the Hamilton Bulldogs advanced to the Calder Cup Western Conference Finals to play either Milwaukee or Houston.

Boyd scored six seconds into the third overtime as the Bulldogs won Game 7 of the North Division final 2-1 over the Manitoba Moose.

"That was a relief," Boyd said.

According to the AHL, the goal ended the longest Game 7 in the 75-year history of the league. Hamilton head coach Randy Cunneyworth joked as to whether or not he should give the team the day off...

wow, this is quite a cool record to hold, i've seen the game and it was really interesting to watch, i wouldn't mind if it lasted longer!
