Adenhart Trial Postponed Til September

A judge has delayed the trial of the man accused of second-degree murder in the crash that killed Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two other people last
year.

The trial for 23-year-old Andrew Gallo was scheduled for Monday in Orange County but that has now been pushed back to September.

You'll excuse the HQ as it reacts with the commensurate amount of disgust...

The change was granted Friday after Gallo's lawyer said she needed more time to prepare an expert witness.

To say what, exactly...??? The HQ would love to hear this one...

Gallo has pleaded not guilty to three counts of second-degree murder. Second-degree murder charges are based on implied malice in California- meaning that Gallo was doing something inherently dangerous with a conscious disregard for the life of others. With a BAC nearly three times the legal limit, that may very well qualify.

He faces a maximum sentence of 54 years and eight months to life in prison if convicted.

Of course, you can still NOT purchase a Nick Adenhart jersey...

Here's your reminder of what Gallo has allegedly done...
