Gators Report Issue With Pouncey

((HT: ESPN-Forde, NFP-Miller))

Apparently, the Florida Gators have self-reported a possible violation involving recently departed limeman Maurkice Pouncey and an agent, according to Forde's piece.

There is an allegation standing that a rep for an unnamed ((or unknown)) agent paid Pouncey $100,000 between the SEC championship game and the Sugar Bowl victory over Cincinnati. Florida told the NCAA of the allegation after they became aware of it last month.

"We were made aware of some information in early June that we reported to law enforcement and we then shared with the NCAA and the SEC," athletic director Jeremy Foley said in a statement released Monday morning to ESPN.com. "At this time we have no information that has indicated that there are any compliance issues for the University of Florida."

If the allegation is found to be true, the Gators may have to forfeit their destruction of the Bearcats.

Gee, thanks...

Remember Pouncey from Draft Day...???
