An arrest has occurred in the poisoning of the two live oaks at Toomer's Corner in Auburn, Alabama.
62 year old Harvey Almorn Updyke Jr. was arrested at approximately 2:30 am Thursday Morning. Updyke is charged with one count of criminal mischief in the first degree, which is a Class C felony. If convicted it carries a punishment of one to 10 years.
Updyke's bond has been set at $50,000.
