The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals has issued at least part of a ruling in regards the ongoing battle between the NFL and the NFLPA (not a union).
The short version is this: The 3 judges voted 2-1 to say the lockout was legal. While not totally unexpected, the timing was a bit of a surprise.
No, we don't know what, if anything this actually means, particularly in light of the ongoing negotiations for a settlement, which seem to be fairly close.
We'll try and let you know more about this along with some perspective as the day progresses and we digest the rather lengthy bit of legal-ese foisted upon us.
