Longoria & Soto Top Rookies

The envelop please. The American League Rookie Of The Year is.... Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays. This was a no brainer. Longoria slugged 27 home runs, drove in 122 runs and batted .272. Clearly the best rookie in the AL.

The National League Rookie of the Year is a catcher, Geovany Soto of the Chicago Cubs is the winner. Soto batted .285 with 23 home runs.
Guess who the last Cubs was to win the Rookie of the Year award? Jerome Walton in 1989. What ever happened to Walton.
