DEVELOPING: Jadeveon Clowney announces he's taking his talents...to Columbia

But there are a few lingering questions. Yes, the South Carolina Gamecocks won the derby for prized recruit Jadeveon Clowney, someone universally regarding as the best high school football player in all the land.

But a couple of questions remain. One, is he going to be academically eligible? There are some reports that he hasn't qualified yet.

And two, can he possibly live up to the hype? He's been annointed "Savior" and "The Greatest High School Player of all-time this year". But he's just turned 18. He may become that player, but he hasn't played at a level with players at his level, yet.

Congratulations to the 'ol Ball Coach for getting the big recruit. He may or may not be the answer to your prayers, but we'll find out, in just a few months.
