Your NFL Strike/Lockout Update: Finally...progress (Rich vs. Rich--Day 5,312)

Roger Goodell
The end may actually be near. Yes, its true or at least it is highly rumored. The NFL Lockout/Strike/Arguing/Mental Block or whatever you want to call it might actually be over soon.

Now, it's not over yet and there are no guarantees, but. There are reports of progress in the negotiations, pretty much for the 1st time since they started.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA (not a union), chief DeMaurice Smith have been meeting on a regular basis the past couple of weeks and side sessions with owners and players appear to have shown signs of success.

For those of you contemplating season tickets, you can probably breathe a little easier. If what this report, and others say is true, it will only be a couple of weeks before it gets settled. And if that's the case, it will play out like we predicted it will initially. Camp would start on time, you'd get your oh, so exciting pre-season games and the season would proceed as scheduled.

Quite honestly, we believe the main reason this is finally happening is because things ended up in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals which basically told both sides "Figure this out" "If we have to make a decision, neither of you may like it".

So, stay tuned, the next couple of weeks should be fun and yes, you, you NFL crazies, can start making plans to spend roughly one weeks pay to go see your favorite team this season.
