Spieth Learns From 16th Place Finish At Byron Nelson

16-year-old Jordan Spieth shot a 2-over 72 Sunday, his highest score of the Byron Nelson tournament, and finished at 4-under 276. He walked off tied for 16th with three groups still on the course.

A paycheck ((that he didn't get)) good enough for a little over $91,000...

"It was awesome ... the entire round, the entire week," Spieth said. "Starting the week, I definitely would've taken a top-20, in a heartbeat. Obviously now, looking back, being a competitor, I look back at the mistakes I made that didn't give me an opportunity to win."

ESPNDallas.com's Richard Durrett caught up with Spieth for his life lessons...

A lot of tour players were impressed with the run Spieth had over the weekend...

"At 16, I wasn't going off to do what he's doing. That's pretty impressive," said Scott Verplank, a former amateur winner on the PGA tour. "Golf is looking to the next generation of kids that can play, stay out of trouble, and entertain everybody....Jordan has all the tools to help the game game of golf, and he's gotten a lot people out here this week."
