Breaking News: Steelers Prepare for not having Roethlisberger

BREAKING NEWS: Normally, this wouldn't qualify as a big story, but it sure is interesting as we count down to the NFL's attempt at creating an "Event" over the unveiling of the schedule.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Pittsburgh Steelers have traded a 7th round draft pick to Tampa for Quarterback Byron Leftwich.

Yes, this would raise the obvious question....Are they preparing for a few games without Ben Roethlisberger? The answer seems to be pretty clear. While they allegedly are high on Dennis Dixon and comfortable with Charlie Batch as backups, the aren't that high...or comfortable with either option.

By the way, leaked stories say the Steelers will open against the Atlanta Falcons who do have a Quarterback, a rather good one who has respect for what he represents, one Matt Ryan...just sayin'.
