Navarro Gets Two-Game Suspension From MLB

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Dioner Navarro has been suspended for two games and fined for "inappropriate conduct," which includes contact with umpire Dan Bellino during Friday's game against Toronto at Tropicana Field.

Grant Balfour had just thrown a ball to Adam Lind to make the count 2-2 when Navarro turned to face Bellino. The Rays catcher began jawing with him, prompting the ejection. At that point, Navarro bumped the umpire.

Unless Navarro appeals, he is scheduled to serve his suspension tonight and tomorrow against Oakland.

If he appeals, his suspension will be held off until a final decision is made.

Here's some video of Navarro and Matt Garza celebrating Tampa's title run drenched with the bubbly...
